A girl died Monday morning after being hit by a Calgary Transit train. The drama occurred at Somerset-Bridlewood station.

According to the police, the emergency services received a call around 8:00. The paramedics quickly went to the scene.

The young victim was rushed to Calgary Children’s Hospital.

At 10:45 am, there was still no traffic between Fish Creek-Lacombe, Shawnessy and Somerset-Bridlewood.

Shuttle buses carry passengers between these stations.
