I think that applies to most types of networks marketer now. They will charge you a large startup fee or monthly membership fees, which is fine, unless you don’t make any money from the product.
That isn’t fair to yourself or the other members of the team that are working hard to create a lifestyle change for you.
What is MLM? Multi-level marketing (MLM) is when you as an entrepreneur or business person promote a company product or service through the use of direct sales.
A common example of this is what we refer to as a “direct sale”. We will talk more about that in detail later, but for now just know that it is when you purchase a product directly from the source instead of going through a middleman such as a retailer.
With a multilevel marketing organization, you not only provide a good or service, but also create a team of people who help spread the word about your product and service. These teams are called affiliates or representatives. They get paid for passing out the products or services you supply them with via their own channel of communication, either by giving presentations or talking to others about them.

It takes having a lot of social skills and knowing how to motivate others to work for you. And it takes being able to manage your own stress so that you keep working even when you want to give up.
But beyond all of those things, it takes having an understanding that this is going to be a tough road for some people. You will win some rounds and lose some rounds, but eventually you will win.
The Lessons I Learned
As mentioned earlier, my experience with MLM companies has been both good and bad. It’s not just whether or not they have an expensive product or service, it’s whetheror not they are worth their price tag.
I will be very honest here – most of them ARE! This changes from company to company depending on how much value you get out of the products and services that they sell. Some may offer more than others, but all can help you achieve your business goals.
That being said, there are some that simply aren’t worth the money for what they provide. For me, I learned the hard way that unless a person is willing to work extra hard to build his/her business, then this company isn’t right for him/her.
As I mentioned before, I spent around $500 per month investing in these brands, only to find that I was spending too much time trying to make the rest of the team successful instead of focusing on mine and my own growth.
This doesn’t mean that everyone is like this, but it does mean that you should do some research into the organization before jumping in.
